• What is this store's return and exchange policy?

All prints and originals are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged. In the case of cancelling an order, if it hasn't yet been shipped, there is a restocking fee of $3.00 per item that will be deducted from your refund.

In the case of print order arriving damaged, please document the damage and get in contact within 2 weeks of arrival. I will arrange to send you a replacement order provided that you cover the shipping and handling cost. If the print cannot be replaced due to it being a limited edition that has sold out, you will be refunded, minus shipping costs.

In the case of original artwork arriving damaged, please contact me immediately so that we can recover the cost with the insurance, if available. (Some international orders do not include insurance, depending on the destination).

While this is very rare, in the case of an order never arriving, I cannot consider a shipment being lost until 30 business days have passed the original shipment date. Once past this time, we can discuss how to replace your order. All US orders include tracking, and most international orders include tracking as well. Please check the tracking provided with your "order has been shipped" notification email before contacting me, please!

  • Do you accept orders placed outside of the US?

Of course! Please note these options available to international packages:

First Class International Mail: this is the base fee shown when you check out. Tracking is provided when available to your country. Shipping time varies between 2-12 weeks.

If you would like faster delivery, Priority Mail International and Priority Express are available - please get in contact for a quote.

The buyer is responsible for all duties and customs taxes. I know they suck, I'm sorry!

  • How long will it take to receive my order?

Though I ship most orders within 1 week, please understand that I'm just one person with a busy schedule which includes traveling and being a single mom. Please allow up to 3 weeks to receive your order. If you have to wait a long time, you can expect bonus stuff to end up in your package!

Please contact me immediately at hello@kellymckernan.com if you need your order by a specific date, and I will do my best to accommodate you!

For standard USPS First Class delivery (the free option for prints), delivery can take anywhere from 2-10 business days to arrive depending on the efficiency of the postal service. The average time is about 2-3 days after your order has been shipped.

For USPS 2 Day Priority shipping, delivery is 1-3 days, but this is not guaranteed and may take longer during the holidays. For a guaranteed 2 day delivery, please contact me for a quote.

International orders may take longer depending on transit times to your country. The customer is responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred. International shipping delivery times may vary between 2 and 12 weeks.

  • What type of prints do you make?

The printer I use is an Epson Stylus R2000, which produces very fine quality prints true to color and depth. The artwork in question is personally scanned by myself at 600 dpi and color corrected to match the original. The paper is Legion Moab 300# Rag Bright hot press paper.

  • Why are you selling open edition prints of a sold out limited edition print?

Some of my open edition prints were previously available as a limited edition print, which sold out. They are the same image, but there are many significant differences.

My limited edition prints are sold at their largest available dimension, within a specific edition size (usually 25), arrive signed and numbered, and as of late 2015, they also come with a Certificate of Authenticity. Once their edition size has sold out, they are never printed at that size and on that specific paper again.

Once the original limited edition run sells out, I reserve the right release an open edition print of that image if there is enough demand for it. Any ensuing open edition prints are significantly smaller than the original limited run (i.e. 16" x 20" LE vs 8" x 10" OE). They are not signed, numbered, or come with a CoA. They are also unlimited in edition size.

I realize this may frustrate some collectors of my limited edition prints, but this practice is not uncommon and it is completely within my rights.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please do not hesitate to get in contact with me!

  • Do you take commissions?

Yes I do! Please don't hesitate to get in touch with your idea and we'll get things rolling. I am usually able to work with your budget, but I can also provide you with an estimate based on size and complexity.

  • I bought a painting or a print. Does this mean I own the copyright?

No, it does not. You own the painting/print, but not the copyright. This means that it is illegal for you to reproduce the painting/print for profit or to use the image in any way without my explicit permission.

  • Can I get a tattoo of one of your paintings?

Of course! I only ask that you consider purchasing something from my shop. While it’s super flattering that you want my artwork to be a part of your body, that doesn’t help me to pay the bills and continue doing what I love for a living. Please get in touch with photos of the finished tattoo – I’d love to see it!
